
Pune, July 31, 2026: With an aim to showcase the state as an emerging destination for leisure, wildlife, heritage and spiritual tourism, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, in association with FICCI as an industry partner today hosted asuccessful Chhattisgarh Tourism Roadshow here at Hyatt Regency, Pune.
The roadshow brought together top tour operators, hoteliers and travel agents from Chhattisgarh for networking and brainstorming sessions with their counterparts in Pune and the wider Maharashtra region.
The programme was attended by Shri Neelu Sharma, Honourable Chairman, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, ShriVivek Acharya (IFS), Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Shri Jaspreet Singh Bhatia, Chair, FICCI Chhattisgarh Tourism Committee & President, Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association.
In his opening remarks, Shri Neelu Sharma, HonourableChairman, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, said, “We were extremely delighted to have great insightful sessions with a diverse group of hoteliers, travel agents and tour operators as we showcase Chhattisgarh as one of India’s most prominent travel destinations. We warmly welcome all our stakeholders to experience Chhattisgarh in its truest form.”
Shri Vivek Acharya (IFS), Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board stressed that the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has taken a lot of initiatives to improve infrastructure and enhance visitor experiences. “We whole heartedly invite travel trade partners from Pune and Maharashtra to collaborate in promoting curated tourism circuits and experiences across the state. Chhattisgarh is now one of the most preferred destinations for leisure, cultural, spiritual, and adventure tourism. I hope our roadshow willreinforce its position as an emerging destination offering a perfect blend of nature, culture, heritage, and adventure,” he added.
Shri Jaspreet Singh Bhatia, Chair, FICCI Chhattisgarh Tourism Committee & President, Chhattisgarh Travel Trade Association, said, “Through our partnership with the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, we are creating stronger industry linkages and opening new avenues for promoting the state’s extraordinary heritage, wildlife, spiritual circuits, and tribal culture. Roadshows like these provide an excellent platform for meaningful collaborations that will help position Chhattisgarh as one of India’s most compelling and emerging tourism destinations.”
The roadshow is a part of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board’s ongoing efforts to expand its tourism market beyond the state and build direct linkages with the travel trade in key markets across India. Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has planned 8 such roadshows in various cities across India to promote the State. The Pune roadshow was the second, first was held in Bhuvneshwar, Odisha.
Chhattisgarh is brimming with a wide variety of natural wonders, ancient heritage, and a vibrant tribal culture. Holiday seekers can immerse them in the majestic ChitrakoteWaterfalls, the serene Kanger Valley National Park and the historical Sirpur and Bhoramdeo Temples. The state government has been stepping up promotional activity to attract domestic and international visitors.
The day began with B2B networking sessions that brought together tour operators from Pune and tourism stakeholders from Chhattisgarh for creating opportunities for business collaboration and destination promotion. The evening also featured a vibrant cultural performance celebrating the rich heritage, art, culture, and traditions of Chhattisgarh. The one-day roadshow concluded with a networking dinner, fostering stronger industry relationships and paving the way for future collaborations in tourism development.
