Pune : The long-standing operational struggles of entrepreneurs in Pune’s rapidly expanding Chakan industrial sector are set to end, following a major intervention by the Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA). Acting as an intermediary between local businesses and state officials, MACCIA recently convened with local industrial association leaders before bringing key concerns directly to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Industries Minister Uday Samant.

​Chakan has faced persistent operational hurdles including severe traffic congestion, deteriorating infrastructure, and unreliable power and water supplies. Recognizing that these issues hinder industrial expansion in one of the state’s prime manufacturing hubs, MACCIA President Ravindra Mangawe emphasized the chamber’s commitment to consolidating these grievances and maintaining active follow-ups with the state government to ensure swift resolution.

Following the initial representations, a direct joint meeting was arranged between Minister Uday Samant, MACCIA officials, and corporate representatives from Chakan. The prompt organizing of this meeting and the commitment toward immediate action prompted MACCIA President Ravindra Mangawe to express formal gratitude to Minister Samant on behalf of the local business community. Key representatives present at the delegation included Chakan MIDC Association President Jaydev Akkalkote, along with Dhanraj Shedbale, Shantanu Kulkarni, Rameshwar Pawar, and Kunal. The proactive mediation by the chamber has renewed optimism among local industrialists for a rapid resolution to the region’s pending infrastructure demands.
